Blephilia hirsuta, Hairy Wood Mint

Still new to my gardens, grown from seeds sourced from Prairie Moon Nursery.

The photos are of fairly young plants still growing in a nursery bed.

For partial sun to shaded areas in average to high moisture locations.

Can spread to form dense colonies and grow up to 3' tall.

Similar in overall appearance to Catnip and Motherwort (both introduced Eurasian species) bit with larger, showier flowers. Reportedly a very popular nectar source for many pollinators.
