Forming big, bold patches, this cousin of the Sunflower family adds a brilliant splash of summer colour to sunny gardens and meadows.
Long blooming they reach their peak showiness in mid to late July.
Unlike many of the true Sunflowers, which have a tendency to wander around the garden from year to year, or even pop up at the neighbour's place, this species tends to form dense clumps that expand out from a single point at a moderate and manageable pace.
